Meet Attorney Ralph A. Romano: Of Counsel 

Ralph A. Romano, Esq. is an accomplished attorney who brings a unique perspective to legal practice through his extensive 26-year career in law enforcement with the Stamford, Connecticut Police Department. His tenure included over 10 years in the Detective Division’s Major Crime Squad, where he managed Local, Federal, and International Criminal cases including Homicides, Sexual Assaults, and White Collar Crimes. Some of these cases resulted in Landmark Court Decisions impacting Connecticut’s Kidnapping and Parental Interference Statutes and the application of the newly enacted Federal Death Penalty Statute for cases where Homicides occur in Domestic Violence situations (Southern District of New York).

A Unique Path to Legal Practice

Attorney Romano’s legal career began while still enrolled in Law School, working as an intern in the State’s attorney’s office in Norwalk. His duties there included working alongside Prosecutors, presenting cases in court, and preparing and conducting trials involving motor vehicle issues. Upon graduating from Quinnipiac University School of Law, Ralph decided to apply his vast knowledge and understanding of the criminal justice system to advocate for fairness for those who have been arrested for various crimes. He was hired by a renowned Stamford Law Firm where he represented clients in Criminal Cases in State and Federal Courts.

Building a Diverse Legal Practice

Driven by a desire to expand his legal expertise, Attorney Romano established his own Law Firm where he added Family Law to his practice, including Divorce, Custody, DCF matters, and Civil Protective Orders. His practice also encompasses Personal Injury cases, including injuries resulting from others’ negligence, landlord, homeowner and employer negligence, and evaluation and referral for Medical Malpractice issues.

Attorney Romano is proud to serve as “Of Counsel” with The Skiber Law firm, where he works alongside some of the very best attorneys in the field of Personal Injury. His practice focuses on injuries resulting from Motor Vehicle Accidents and injuries received from the actions or inactions (failure to act reasonably) of others, including landlords, employers, or anyone whose negligence has caused bodily injury.
